Renting a Video Studio in Las Vegas: Which Kind Do You Need?

By Luis Barraza, CEO of G Media · Last reviewed September 2026

Las Vegas has three kinds of video studio to rent: empty rooms or cyc walls by the hour where you bring the crew and gear, soundstages for commercial-scale shoots, and producer-run content studios with cameras, lights, microphones and editing included. Without a crew, for interviews, talking-head video or a podcast, the producer-run option is simplest.

What kinds of video studios can you rent in Las Vegas?

TypeWhat is usually includedWho brings the crewBest for
Hourly room or creator space (often listed on marketplaces like Peerspace and Giggster)The space, sometimes basic lights or backdropsYouPhotographers and crews who already have gear
Cyc wall or soundstageA large controlled space, power, sometimes a grip packageYou or your production companyCommercials, music videos, set builds
Producer-run content or podcast studioBuilt sets, cameras, lighting, microphones, an operator, often the editThe studioInterviews, podcasts, talking-head and brand content

For podcasts specifically, our honest comparison of Las Vegas podcast studios covers the main options side by side.

What does "included" really mean?

Two listings at the same hourly price can be very different deals. Before you book, check each of these:

  • Cameras: how many, and who operates them.
  • Lighting: already set for the room, or a kit you have to set up.
  • Audio: real microphones and a treated room, or just the space.
  • An operator or producer on site for the whole booking.
  • Editing: a finished video, or raw files on a drive.
  • Setup and teardown time: inside your booking or billed on top.
  • Overtime: what happens if you run long.
  • Parking and load-in: easy for guests and gear, or a hike.

An empty room at a low hourly rate can end up costing more once you add a camera operator, lighting, an audio engineer and an editor.

How do you choose the right set?

  • The look: should it feel like a desk, a lounge, a dark premium set or a bright daylight room? Match it to your brand and audience.
  • Headcount: how many people will be on camera and on a microphone at the same time.
  • What you are making: a long interview, a batch of short clips, product shots or a brand promo.
  • Repeatability: for a series, pick a set you can come back to so every episode matches.

If you are recording a show, see which of our four sets fits your show.

What should you ask before you book?

  1. Can I see the room in person, or at least in a recent video?
  2. What exactly is included in the price, and what is extra?
  3. Who runs the equipment during my session?
  4. Do I get a finished edit or raw files, and how soon?
  5. Who owns the footage?
  6. How much time is there to set up, and what is the overtime rate?
  7. Is there parking for my guests?

When is an empty studio the better choice?

When you already have a crew, a director of photography and your own gear, an empty room or a soundstage gives you full control and is often the right call. Commercials with set builds, music videos and large product shoots usually belong there. A producer-run studio is the better fit when you want to show up, talk and leave with finished content.

How G Media does it

G Media runs a producer-run content studio at 4160 S Durango Dr, Unit 140, off Flamingo and Durango with parking on site. Four camera-ready sets sit in two rooms: Studio 1 holds the Interview Den and the Glow Lounge, and Studio 2 holds the High Roller and the Cozy Corner. A producer runs the cameras, microphones and lights on every session, and you leave with an edit, not raw files. For podcasts, your first fully edited episode is $149 for a session of about 90 minutes; see the podcast studio in Las Vegas. For brand promos, product shots and other studio shoots with our crew, see video production; videography is $250 per hour and you get an exact quote before any deposit. We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I rent a video studio in Las Vegas?

You can book hourly rooms and cyc walls through marketplaces like Peerspace and Giggster, rent soundstages for larger productions, or book a producer-run studio like G Media at 4160 S Durango Dr, Unit 140, where cameras, lights, microphones, an operator and the edit are included.

Do I need my own crew to rent a video studio?

For an empty room or soundstage, usually yes. At a producer-run studio, no. G Media's producer runs the cameras, microphones and lights, so you only bring the people on camera.

Can I use a podcast studio for other videos?

Often, yes. Sets built for podcasts also work for interviews, testimonials, talking-head tips and brand promos. Ask the studio what formats they support and whether they can film product shots on the same set.

How much does it cost to rent a video studio in Las Vegas?

It varies widely with what is included. Compare the full cost, including crew, gear and editing, not just the room. At G Media, a first fully edited podcast episode is $149 for about 90 minutes, and videography for other studio shoots is $250 per hour.

Can I tour a studio before booking?

At G Media, yes. Studio tours are free and take about 20 minutes.
